Transportation in Portland

For those who want to walk-
We are located in the west end of Portland, just outside the Arts District a quarter mile walk away, a mile to the heart of The Old Port, and 1.5-2 miles to destinations on the East End.

If you don’t have a car and prefer not to walk-
Ubers, Lyfts, and taxis are reasonable and quick. Portland doesn’t have the best public transportation system compared to big cities but those who are interested are encouraged to check out their website for more information (gpmetro.org).

For Those Interested in Visiting Local Islands-
The Casco Bay Ferry carries passengers, vehicles, and freight between Portland and the islands of Peaks, Little Diamond, Great Diamond, Long Island, Chebeage, and Cliff. Water taxis are also up for hire for smaller destinations.

For those traveling outside of Portland-
Concord Coach Bus Station: Services points in New Hampshire, Maine, and to Boston’s South Station and Logan International Airport as well as New York City.
Amtrak Downeaster: The train operates daily with round trips from Portland going north to Brunswick, ME and south to Boston, MA. It also stops in Freeport, ME, home of LLBean and outlet shopping.
Portland International Jetport: Maine’s largest airport is only 5 miles from the heart of Portland.
